Roby Schmucker – a habitual criminal – is sent to the city prison. He is unexpectedly sentenced to 12 years. Remembering his happiest times, when he worked in Africa and started a family, he makes a momentous decision: he must go to Africa to see his daughter again. Trusting in his friendship with fellow prisoner Mohammed, Roby gets into a fight with the prison governor. He puts all his eggs in one basket and, with cunning and at great risk, finally manages to bring the prison governor to his knees…
