Otto Friedrich Walter (* 5. Juni 1928 in Rickenbach, Schweiz; † 24. September 1994 in Solothurn) war ein Schweizer Schriftsteller und Verlagsleiter.

Otto F. Walter was the youngest of nine children born to publisher Otto Walter; one of his eight sisters was the writer Silja Walter. Walter grew up in Rickenbach near Olten in the canton of Solothurn. He attended school at Engelberg Abbey, but left grammar school early after sixth grade and completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller in Zurich. In 1950, he did an internship at a printing company in Cologne.

Otto F. Walter was married from 1952 to 1964 (his second marriage to Maria Walter, née Haberthür) and had three sons (Daniel, Kuno and Otto). He was a member of the Olten Group and the German PEN Centre. His estate is held at the Swiss Literary Archives in Bern.
